Independent Medical Examinations by Doctors
An independent medical examination is a thorough assessment of your current medical condition conducted by a non-treating doctor. The purpose of this assessment is to provide an objective evaluation of your health status, treatment, and any relevant medical issues.
The importance of Independent Medical Opinions
Independent medical examinations play a pivotal role in different situations, including insurance claims and cases related to medical negligence. Private Medical Clinic acknowledges the importance of these assessments in guaranteeing fairness and precision. If you are obligated to attend an IME, the party requesting the examination should furnish you with a transparent explanation of its necessity.
One of our experienced and independent GPs will conduct these examinations to ensure an impartial evaluation. Our GPs are not affiliated with the organisation requesting the examination, ensuring an unbiased assessment.
What to expect during the examination
We understand that undergoing a medical examination, especially an independent one, can be daunting. Our skilled GPs prioritise your comfort and well-being throughout the process. During the examination, you can expect to provide details about your medical history, as well as answer questions about your work, lifestyle, and relationships. While some questions may appear unrelated, they help our GPs gain a comprehensive understanding of your individual circumstances.
